The international ORFeome Collaboration (OC) was founded to provide the research community with a comprehensive set of full-length, high quality human clones ORF (Open Reading Frame = the protein-coding sequence of genes) in the Gateway cloning system ready to use for recombinant protein expression. The collection currently covers 17,154 RefSeq and Ensembl genes with 29,597 clones. All OC clones are fully sequence verified and annotated. Learn more in the original publication of the OC resource The ORFeome Collaboration Nature Methods 13:191–192 (2016) doi:10.1038/nmeth.3776.

Use our online database to search the ORFeome clone collection for gene coverage and clone annotation. Use our international distributor network to obtain clones of interest. Find a list of the contributors to the OC.

All ORF clones are provided without restrictions to their use in academia and industry, except for the terms specified in a Good Faith Agreement.
